Dr Paul Bloomfield is a Specialist Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician (Sports Physician). After graduating from the University of New South Wales in 1992 he completed post graduate training in sports medicine with the Australasian College of Sports Physicians (A.C.S.P.) and was awarded his Fellowship in 2000.

He has been working at Narrabeen Sports Medicine Centre in the Sydney Academy of Sport on Sydney’s northern beaches since 1994 and has worked at various other centres during his training including North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, Sydney Sports Medicine Centre (Homebush) and Orthosports Hurstville. Dr Bloomfield also consulted in the city (Sydney) at Sydney Physiotherapy and Orthopaedics from 2005 to 2010.

Dr Bloomfield has extensive experience with various sports and has been involved with numerous elite and professional teams. He is the current team doctor/chief medical officer for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles NRL rugby league team (since 2000) and was the team doctor for the Northern Spirit NSL soccer club throughout its entire history. He has also worked extensively with the Australian Men’s Volleyball Team and was the assistant medical officer for the St. George rugby league team prior to joining Manly. Other sport coverage has included numerous Brooks Triathlon series at Kurnell, mountain bike and skateboard competitions and the Soccer Australia senior men’s team.
